Children's Resources for Use at Home
Saint Mary's Press is making their Kids Liturgy resources available for free for a limited time. This is a digital Liturgy of the Word program.
During the current Coronavirus outbreak, we want to help you to find some resources to help your family stay strong in their faith. Below are some of our favorites. We will continue to add to these so check back each week.
By now you should all know that we love FORMED!!! This is an online video platform, similar to Netflix, with all Catholic programming. The best part is that our parish subscribes to make it free for all of our parishioners.
Simply click the FORMED image o the right (or click here) and it will take you to our parish FORMED page to sign up for your free account.
Do your kids have their Rel Ed books at home? We are emailing classes with information on what lessons they can work on. If you don't get an email, simply look through their book ans start working on what looks like their next chapter. Still not sure, email us your child's name and class and we will figure it out for you.
Update: I you are in a regular (non-Communion) K-6 Class, Our Sunday Visitor has put everything online for us. Click this link and choose the appropriate grade: Alive in Christ Parish
Make Paper Palms
Catholic Icing has this great Palm Sunday project. Since we won't be able to get palms on Palm Sunday (Passion Sunday), this is a great way to till connect our kids with this great tradition.
Branches On Your Door
Another idea that's all over social media is to put a branch on your door this Sunday (April 5th) as a sign of Palm Sunday. It's a cool way to connect while we social distance.

The Messy Family Project is a ministry with great resources for parents. They have great articles, a super podcast with episodes dealing with real family life issues and topics. And their Resources page has great free stuff as well as book recommendations for parents.
Parents, there is no doubt that your life is different right now. Maybe you are home with your kids, working from home, or working in essential services. Find time to have fun with your kids and take some time each day to pray. We all complain that our lives are too busy. Now we have this forced situation where all of the after school activities are cancelled. In the midst of a horrible situation we have an opportunity to strengthen our relationships with our families.
Magnificat is now offering their online monthly prayer books for free during the Corona outbreak. Click the image above! It has Morning and Evening Prayer, the daily Mass readings, and daily reflections.
