Fasting & Abstinence
Fasting: Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal.
Abstinence: Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards.
Stations of the Cross
Fridays at 6:00 p.m.
We invite you to join our parish in participating in Catholic Relief Service's Operation Rice Bowl. This is a Lenten program which helps us live in solidarity with the poor and vulnerable around the world through prayer, fasting, and giving. Rice Bowls are available to pick up in the parish vestibule. www.crsricebowl.org
