Our newest study begins Thursday, August 31st at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to join at any time!

Our parish Thursday Night Bible Study utilizes the acclaimed study programs from Ascension Press, including the Bible Timeline Program. The studies are ongoing and take place Thursday evenings at 6:30 PM in the Our Lady of the Angels Classroom. All are invited to start attending at any time. Come and bring a Catholic Bible if you have one.  Check the current bulletin for more information. 

Study materials are available for purchase at the Parish Gift Shop, but feel free to attend a session to see if you like it first. If you do not yet own a Bible, our Bible study leaders would be happy to direct you to the best translations of the Bible for you. In general, any Bible we carry in our Parish Gift Shop would be appropriate (NAB, NABRE, RSVCE). It's important to get a Bible that you will read. Take into account print size, type of cover... Whatever is important to you! Not sure if you want a leather Bible yet? I suggest that if you are considering one but aren't sure, you will probably want one later on. Forgo buying twice and get the one that you really want the first time. There is nothing more frustrating than switching to a new Bible when you have an old Bible that you have written valuable notes in for a couple of years. 

All of us in the Faith Formation Department at St. Francis of Assisi highly recommend The Great Adventure Bible from Ascension Press. It has great notes, the best cover we have found, and an easy to read font that was created just for this Bible. We carry this in our Parish Gift Shop and it is availible directly from Ascension Press.
